July 11th, 2008 - Playlogic Entertainment, Inc. (Nasdaq OTC: PLGC.OB) announced today that it has commissioned Sparx Animation Studios in Paris, France and Ho Chi Min City, Vietnam, to work on an undisclosed games project set for release in 2009. The game is being developed for PLAYSTATION®3, Xbox 360® and PC.
“We are delighted to be working with Sparx Animation Studios on this project”, said EVP of Playlogic, Rogier Smit. “They are a highly skilled and talented group that will bring their feature animation expertise to the new IP we are developing at our in-house studio.”
“We are thrilled to collaborate with Playlogic on their new franchise and to enter the game art and animation market with such a great publisher”, said Sparx Animation Studios’ General Manager Jean-Philippe Agati.
Sparx Animation Studios is currently completing work on their first feature film, “Igor,” which is produced by Exodus Production and will be distributed by MGM for theatrical release in September 2008. “Igor” is a playfully irreverent comedy that brings a new twist to the classic monster genre.
